A Hearty Welcome to Lisa Barrow

Announcements - Pyragraph

I have exciting news, and sharing it is overdue, but things have been so crazy over the last few months that I just couldn’t figure out the right time. So please forgive me for taking until now to announce that in May 2020 I hired Lisa Barrow as Editor, and I could not be more stoked to have her as our very first employee! As you may know, I am picky AF when it comes to content and communications. In early 2020 I hired Lisa as a contractor to help with my chronically overloaded plate of projects, and it immediately became clear to me that OMG Lisa is such a pro and she writes and edits perfectly and always hits the right tone and she does not seem fazed by my swarm of projects and oh shit, what if she is too busy to help me next month? I NEED TO KEEP HER ON MY TEAM. So after three months of hiring her as a freelancer I hired her as a part-time employee, and I think it’s the smartest thing I’ve done in a long time.

As Editor, Lisa will help with content development both for my author/coach business as well as for Pyragraph. She did most of the writing and editing for Pyragraph’s Voter Guide, and will continue to edit and write downloadable guides, blog posts, newsletters and other content aimed to empower creatives and independent workers. Lisa’s writing, editing, keen eye and creative ideas have played a big part in my work for the last few months, and it’s a joy to be working with her. As a bonus we share a love of vintage books so I look forward to more nerding out and publishing geekery.

Welcome to the team, Lisa!
