Hyperlocal Micro Promo with Recycled Cardboard Coasters

Indie promotion can be a grind, and the digital side can suck you dry. QR Codester is an IRL micro promo concept that experiments with ways artists, musicians and small ventures can promote themselves with both a digital and tangible element rooted in community.

Handmade coasters and coaster racks from recycled materials carry promo messages, distributed at community hubs, events and watering holes. Our first coaster campaigns were in 2025, with small-scale distribution of coaster sets and racks promoting artists and organizations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As of fall 2026 we are developing distribution points in Lisbon, Portugal.

Deets:

Your logo and and a QR code to a URL of your choice will be included on the back of the coasters; you’ll be prompted to upload a square logo and URL upon checkout; we’ll create the QR logo block and affix it to the bottom of the coasters.
You may provide your own collage material for the top of the coasters; otherwise the coasters will be created from our stock of old books, recycled cardboard and other materials.
Coasters are meant to be reused until they get too wet or grungy. With care they can be reused dozens of times.
Racks will come blank ready for your images.

When purchasing any promotional service below, you agree to the following terms (click to expand):

Submission of image file. Customer must submit a Logo image for its Promo, built to the correct pixel dimensions and in JPG format; you will be directed to a submission form after purchase to upload your Logo.
Acceptance of Advertisements. Pyragraph may, at its sole discretion, reject any Promos for any reason.
Positioning. Positioning of Promos on Pyragraph.com is at the sole discretion of Pyragraph. Customer acknowledges that Pyragraph has not made any guarantees with respect to viewership statistics or impressions for any Promo.
Taxes. In the event that any federal, state, or local taxes apply, such taxes will be added to the fees charged to the Customer by Pyragraph.
Indemnification. Customer assumes all risks and liabilities associated with its Promo and its content, and agrees to defend, hold harmless and indemnify Pyragraph from all suits, claims, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses of any nature, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees, that arise from Pyragraph’s publication of Customer’s Promo.
Limitation of Liability. Liability for typographical errors, wrong insertions, and/or non-publication, non-performance due to force majeure, and other disputes regarding the advertisement is limited to the amount charged to the Customer by Pyragraph for the applicable Promo.
